Flowing 47% more fuel than the stock pump, our HPFP opens up a whole new world of possibilities and benefits. That additional flow allows for more torque delivery and more boost earlier in the rev range, giving you noticeable gains on even a mostly stock vehicle.
Take full advantage of your upgraded Nostrum HPFP by pairing it with Nostrum Stage 1 injectors. The stock injectors simply can’t keep up with the massive amout of fuel that our HPFP is capable of moving. Our Stage 1 Injectors give you 11% more flow than the stock injectors, raising the ceiling on how much power you can make. The Stage 1 bundle is great for anyone with minor bolt-ons and stock turbos, who is just looking for some more pep out of their daily driver. If you plan on going with bigger turbos or potentially even a built engine, the Stage 2 bundle is what you are looking for!

We set the Explorer ST HP record on our dyno using our HPFP and Stage 1 Injectors, among other mods, making 707 AWHP. This vehicle had a completely custom turbo setup and many one-off parts.

Why is spray pattern important?
While increasing flow rate is critical to making more horsepower, there are other factors to consider when choosing fuel system upgrades. A bigger injector isn’t always a better injector! It can flow a large volume of fuel at WOT, but if the spray pattern is poor, you can expect poor idle quality, poor drivability, increased knock propensity, soot, NVH (noise vibration harshness,) and tuning difficulty. Additionally, the wrong spray pattern can result in liquid fuel impinging in the cylinder walls, causing oil dilution, which increases mechanical wear to internal engine components.

Our spray patternation and arc flash machines (images below) give us an unparalleled look at how an OEM injector is designed and how it operates. Our engineers design and develop injectors to optimally interact with engine air flow inside the combustion chamber to improve fuel evaporation and create a homogenous air-fuel mixture that results in a higher combustion quality. Frequently ask questions:
- Can’t I run pump E85 on the stock fuel system?
While you absolutely can run any mix of ethanol with the factory fuel system, going to full ethanol would result in a lower HP number than you would achieve on 93 pump gas. Since E85 requires 30% more fuel than 93 to achieve the same power, and you can easily max out the stock fuel system with stock turbos, there would not be much benefit to going to full ethanol.
- Can I do the installation myself at home?
Absolutely! All Nostrum products come with a detailed installation guide that shows you how to install your new parts every step of the way. Any additional pieces that might be necessary are included in the box. The only thing you need is your own tools and a can-do attitude. When you are ready to tune, we have calibration data and tuning guides available to your dealer, installer, or tuner.
